Introduction

Living in rural Victoria. Love animals and have just recently acquired a retired Greyhound called Gabriel who is a beautiful boy. Gabriel came to us as part of the GAP program in Seymour. The GAP people work hard to place all their retired Greyhounds. We wouldn´t have chosen a Greyhound except we saw them at the end of a Crowded House concert where they were all brought on stage after the show then remained outside as people left the venue. We researched and discovered they have tremendously gentle natures (once they´re released from their racing ´prisons´) - we met Gabriel in February 2008 and took him home later that month. He is now a part of our family, along with our cat Peri (short for peripatetic....look it up) who tolerates his invasion. Our life is greatly enriched by Gabriel´s presence and we are grateful for the Greyhound Adoption Program´s efforts. Finally I want to add this - "A people´s worth can be known by how they treat their animals"
