Do you kennel, keep in one room dedicated to them, let them have the whole house, do they have a pet door they can go out when they want?

Being the only doggy in our home penny has the whole house for herself if she wanted too, but one thing that i noticed is that she rarely goes inside the kitchen for reasons i donot know and never never goes to the bathroom (afraid she will be bathe )though her special place in the house is the livingroom where she plays with her toys and at her bedroom where she sleeps with her grandma also we do not leave her alone at the house she is always w/ us where ever we go

I have 4 dogs...When I or we go out they have the whole house w/ them, they also have their own doggie door so that they can go at the backyard to relieve them selves, romp around or just chase what ever caught their attention...( of course we always double check the gates to make sure it is pad locked ) If we have to be out for more than 24 hours i asked a friend to stay or a pet sitter...

Malli is left inside his kennel when we leave home. The vet warned us its okay to leave him alone inside the house UNLESS its alright for us to see ruins when we got home

Cracker was kenneled as a puppy, but now has pretty much the run of the apartment (it´s a bachelor so it´s not a lot of space anyway) the only restriction is I put up a gate between the front door hallway and main room so she cannot get to the door as she sticks her nose out the mailslot every time someone goes by and then whines or howls...(being a hound, you can imagine how that sounds!) I give her a hollow bone with peanut butter and off I go. As for long term, as I´m a dogsitter myself, I only take housesits where it is appropriate to take her with me or I have a friend take her for a night or two.

we bought a huge roofed kennel and run, its massive and they love it. although if we are jst headin out for a wee while we´ll leave em in da kitchen were they sleep anyway

If I cannot take Meg with me, she will have the whole house to herself. But more often that not there is always someone at home. Its not very often Meg is left on her own and if she is, its not for very long

when we go out for they day we leave laddy in the dinning room ( where he sleeps at night), he settles down to sleep until we come home thats only once a week. I am a home all day so he can have the run of the ground floor of our house when we are at home

Shermann has the whole house, but mostly sleeps in the living room or on my bed in the bedroom[forbidden] - well,he has to share it with Rangoon, No pet door would be big enough for him. So I cannot live him for more than 6 hours during the day. Whenever possible I take him along.

When I go to work, Jake has the run of downstairs. I close the door leading to the stairs. But when I leave, he is usually sitting on the arm of the chair, looking out the window. Same position when I come home again. He loves watching the world go by.

There´s always someone around, my dogs are hardly ever left alone. My grandmother "babysits" when we go out

since i have pupps around, i hire a baby sitter to watch over them. i dont go out much only on very very important cases. i have my dance class at home so not much to worry. my big dogs either stay in their kennel or in the garage or my porch. milan loves to stay in her kennel.i always keep the door of the kennel opened.but we seldom ,very seldom leave them alone .we always have schedules who will be left at home.

i built a large run out my back to keep mine in and roofed it so it dry. . i used to keep them just running my garden but some p**** opened my gate and let them out when i was at work and we spent hours looking for them. i couldnt leave them in my house alone for long as they love to chew and already have made a good go at my sofa when i went to the shop.

Maisy stays in the house if its cold or out in our sun room with the door open to the garden if she wants. I am usually around a lot so she has company most of the day - she´s usually asleep though

Harry has got used to be alone in the morning, while we are at work. he has the living room, the kitchen, the corridor and the bathroom to roam, no entry into the bedrooms the sitting room and the studio. When a puppy he chewed some of the corridor wall paper, but now he sits quiet or plays with his kong, adequately stuffed with some treats, or chews his chewing bone. When we are in, he usually has his naps on his dog bed, but when he´s alone he enjoys the sofa!

There´s always someone left at home. Usually Basti stays in his kennel if it is raining or if it is not, he stays in the backyard (secured of course). Wugi & Tyra roams at the garage & terrace all the time.

my dogs has the whole garage to play with. they stay there the whole day. whenever i leave,i make sure that they are safe and there is always someone in the house. i tell our maid to check on them everyime..

my bootz stays outside together with our other dogs at morning when i leave the house, give a toy to play so that it will not be bored.when i arrive i let him go inside the house where he could play around to run.

Triton goes into a dog kennel where I know they must spoil him wrotten because he´s always happy to go & reluctant to leave! The place doesn´t look like anything much, there are certainly better with big fields & ponds for the dogs, but if he´s happy I´m happy.

Oh, are you talking about during the day? Triton has the run of the backyard with his own little day spa & I leave his breakfast with him stuffed into a kong. Last night I put in it some dog biscuits, cat food & put it in the freezer overnight.

we leave them with our cousins who also love dogs., or we just leave them in a room, with their food and water so they can play..but sometimes when we will be away for a long time and no one will take care of them, we just bring them along..
