About me

Hi. I am Rossi and I am the 3rd Spinone in my family. My brothers are Eric & Enzo. I am only 18 months old ,but I had 2 other homes before this one and neither of them wanted me because I was alot of trouble to them, but my new people heard about me and came and brought me to the paradise that I now call my home.

Favourite food

All of it, everything, especially warm chicken.

Favourite toy

All furry squeakies and empty water bottles.

Likes

Playing all day, tormenting Eric & Enzo, sniffing for rabbits in my garden, taking sticks off Enzo, sleeping in Erics favourite chair, generally being me.

Dislikes

Being grabbed by my collar, strange new people especially big men, having my whiskers washed. Climbing the ramp into the back of the car.

What makes me special

Well I guess I am trouble thats why I was sent back twice, but I am so very loving and adorable and all I needed was a chance and my new people gave it to me, now I am here I am so good that I will be here for ever.

Piggin dog is also called a Bull Arab unique to australia as the name suggests ...must have a base breed of bully or bull terrier in them.
They are specially breed to hunt and bring down wild pigs, wild game...etc. Piggin dogs work with their owners to catch wild pigs or feral pigs then hold the pig down then the owners dont carry guns ...they carry knives ... the wild pig has to be killed humainely and quickly ...as they are then transported to the ´BOX´ where they are weighted and then the owners and dogs are rewared with some much $$´s per kg.
The wild pork is then sold to meat markets and over seas.We do have a big problem with wild pigs here and alot of stories over here some of them true ... If you die in the paddock here the pigs will come and eat whats left of you... along with the foxes. We dont go out at night unless you do have a 4-wd a gun , knife , spot light and dogs trained for piggin. We also have dingoes ...just up the road but havent seen any here so far.

Over in America they have a dog simillar called a Boar Dogs ...at this stage as far as I know they are still working with a 2 breed mix ...we in austraila are phasing out the 2 breed mixs and going to a 3 breed mix of bully... they are proving to be faster, stronger, more obedient... for the job they are breed for. The reason that diz and levi werent trained for piggin is I just couldnt handle the fact that one could be hurt ... as if they move at the wrong time trying to get the pig down ... the pigs tusks can rip them open and even be killed.
I just couldnt put my boys through it.
However most piggin dogs do wear a piggin collar to protect them from the tusks.

Give me a snake any old day ...hehehe!

I locate snakes, bark for mum or dad ...then watch where they go ... mum calls me behind then dad shoots it ... ! This is only when snakes are around or in the house or in the car!
I was a year old when I got a red-bellied black snake ... too close to the house ... mum called all the other dogs away so I could do my special job... flung that snake till i broke its back ... to mum and dads shock and horror ...quickly realized i had a talent of my own... so now we all work as a team ... safier that way!
